Can clients keep ringing the number they already have?+
Yes. The number on your vaccination reminders, your practice sign and your Google listing stays as it is. You can route the line to Kalvo outright, or add an overflow divert so it steps in only when reception is engaged or the practice is closed.
What happens if somebody rings at three in the morning with a collapsed dog?+
Kalvo answers immediately, follows the urgency rules you have written, and puts the caller through to whoever is carrying the on-call phone. If you use an out-of-hours provider, it hands them over instead. It stays calm with a frightened owner, confirms the address back, and says what to do next.
Can it handle repeat prescription requests?+
It can take them, not authorise them. Kalvo records the client, the animal, the product and the last dispensing date, then sends the request to a vet to approve under your own prescribing rules. The owner is told how long approval takes and when to collect, which heads off the chase call.
Will it chase vaccination boosters and recalls?+
Kalvo sends confirmations and reminders by text, email and call for appointments already booked, and rebooks anyone who replies that they cannot make the time. For a booster recall run it absorbs the wave of calls that comes back in and books those owners, so a recall does not swamp the desk for a week.
Can it register a new client and request a history?+
Yes. It takes the owner's details, the animal's name, species, breed and age, and the practice the records need to come from, then explains how registering works and what a first consult costs. Your team gets a complete record rather than a name on a sticky note.
We are a mixed practice. Will it cope with farm and equine calls?+
Yes. Farm and equine calls are set up separately from small animal, because a vet needs different information before travelling. Kalvo takes the holding or yard address, directions, animal numbers and how long the problem has been going, and can route urgent large animal calls to a different vet.
How much does it cost?+
Starter is £49 a month and covers 100 minutes of calls. Growth is £99 for 400 minutes and Pro is £199 for 1000 minutes. Pick by the call volume your practice handles, and move up when a busy season pushes you past it.
